Educational training and a highly skilled workforce serve as catalysts of innovation, economic development, and competitiveness. Research indicates that workforce training drives productivity and advances retention and commitment to an organization. Through Florida International University’s Academic Planning and Accountability-Continuing Education (APA-CE), the instructional and academic resources of Florida International University are extended by using innovative approaches including online education, alternative scheduling, and community-based academic credit and non-credit programs. APA-CE is the education and training partner serving diverse constituencies that provides excellence and value through its personal enrichment, academic and professional programs, locally and globally. In a knowledge-based society, professional development is key to career success and competitiveness. We extend our professional development training programs to meet the emerging needs of companies, businesses, organizations, and individuals.
